Audi Hungaria: The first class of the dual higher education programme has graduated

• The first class of the dual higher education programme of Audi Hungaria and the Széchenyi István University started in September 2015

Győr, 25 March 2019—The first four students who joined the dual university education programme established by AUDI HUNGARIA Zrt. and the Széchenyi István University in 2015 have graduated. On this occasion, the four-ring company welcomed the graduates who had received their BSc diploma in automotive engineering and will continue to work at the Company.

“A cooperation between a higher education institution and a modern cooperation can offer great opportunities. We can be justly proud of our cooperation with the Széchenyi István University in Győr, which is a unique, future-oriented higher-education initiative in Hungary”, said dr. Erzsébet Knáb, member of the Board of Management of the Company for Human Resources. “I am very happy that all graduate students have found attractive professional perspectives after successfully completing this high-quality and practice-oriented programme”, added dr. Erzsébet Knáb.

The students of the first class of this dual higher education programme started their studies in September 2015; the programme currently has 32 students.  Within the programme, students study the theory part at the University, while they have a high number of practice-oriented classes which Audi Hungaria provides. The close strategic cooperation between the University and the Cooperation is outstanding, which ensured the excellent professional quality of the programme.

The Cooperation and the University of Győr established the Audi Hungaria Faculty of Vehicle Engineering on 1 January 2015. The Faculty has six departments, the Department of Internal Combustion Engines, the Department of Vehicle Manufacturing, the Department of Whole Vehicle Engineering, the Department of Material Science and Technology, the Department of Environmental Engineering, and the Department of Logistics and Forwarding.

An active working group works on the continuous development of the dual higher education programme.
