The success of Audi Hungaria is built not only on world-class technology but also on talented and dedicated employees. Among them is Osvald Norbert, who works in the Drive System Development area and contributes to the company's digital development with unique solutions. Innovation significantly facilitates the work of engineers and technicians, providing faster decision-making and more efficient problem-solving.
Norbert joined Audi Hungaria in 2018, where he deals with RestBus simulation. This technology allows missing components for engine testing, such as the gearbox or brake pedal, to be replaced in a virtual environment. Before Audi Hungaria, he gained experience in the automation department of the Rába Axle factory, which laid the foundation for his technical expertise.
With the advancement of technology, there was an increasing demand to supervise brake stand tests not only locally but also remotely. In 2018, Norbert developed a unique solution: software that enables remote monitoring of the brake stands' condition. The application visualizes the condition of the cabins, allowing engineers to follow the testing processes in real-time.
Remote Access: Engineers and technicians can access the data of the testing processes on the brake stands from anywhere, eliminating the need for constant on-site presence.
Real-Time Data Tracking: The system immediately notifies about the performance and condition of the tested drives, enabling faster decision-making and more efficient problem-solving.
Cost Efficiency: Remote access reduces travel and logistics costs while increasing the efficiency of the testing processes.
Following the success of the first software, development did not stop. In 2024, the development team aimed to determine the effectiveness of the cabins, for which another application was developed. This system provides even more detailed data and visualizes the condition of the test cabins. The information is available in the workshop corridors and the executive offices, allowing employees to respond more quickly to emerging problems.
In the first phase of the project, three employees worked together, while in the second phase, four employees were involved. Today, there are several different solutions for remote monitoring, but the application developed by Norbert stands out by not only collecting information but also providing interactive feedback, indicating, for example, which area requires expert intervention.
Osvald Norbert's innovation exemplifies how digitalization can help increase the efficiency of everyday work. Audi Hungaria is committed to continuous development and innovation, and similar developments will play a key role in the future. The key to our company's success lies in the talented employees who contribute daily to the brand's technological development.
