On April 2nd, Krisztina Göncz celebrates her 18th anniversary as an employee of Audi Hungaria.
Audi Hungaria is not just a workplace but also a community, where professional challenges and development opportunities go hand in hand. The same applies to the Supply Chain, i.e., the vehicle production logistics field. Krisztina Göncz works in this area as an assistant to the segment leader and shared her career, successes, and experiences at the company with us.
Krisztina Göncz: On the stairs of the university, one of my classmates mentioned that Audi was looking for an intern in logistics. The news immediately piqued my interest. I applied, was called in the next day, and was hired right away. I loved the job and the team so much that I stayed. My first day as an employee was an unforgettable experience. I walked through the factory gate with pride and excitement because I had worked here as an intern for seven months before, but it felt completely different entering as a full-fledged member of the Audi Hungaria team.
What exactly do you do in the Supply Chain area?
KG: My work is incredibly diverse, as in addition to supporting the segment leader's organizational and professional work, I organize and coordinate professional committees and actively participate in indirect staffing planning. I also manage and monitor both professional and non-professional indicators in the area. Another important task is the professional coordination of the Supply Chain Győr SCC area, so international communication with Audi's various locations and logistics teams has become part of daily life.
What was your most memorable moment at Audi Hungaria?
KG: When we first managed to produce 600 cars a day in the new vehicle factory. At that time, I was a professional coordinator in the series disposition area, and we were producing the A3 Limousine and the A3 Cabriolet. New team, new factory, new model – it was a huge milestone! And now, we are preparing to celebrate the production of the 1 millionth Q3, which is also a significant event.
Which project are you most proud of?
KG: I am most proud of the Dispoverbund project. We developed and tested a concept that enabled efficient cooperation between factories – balancing the load according to the cycles of vehicle projects. We all profited from this both professionally and personally: we operated in an international environment every day, and all this during the difficult times of the coronavirus. This was the precursor to, among other things, the Shared Competence activities in the logistics field.
Since September 2022, I had the opportunity to lead a strategic project called SCC@SC (Shared Competence Center meets Supply Chain Győr). Thanks to the project, a new organizational unit was established, and we provided a framework for the services performed in our area. More than 20 colleagues have been providing various services from Győr to the world ever since!
Why would you recommend Audi Hungaria to others?
KG: Audi Hungaria is a community that seeks talents, supports development, and always presents new challenges. Those who love professional challenges and are brave enough for success belong here!
What are you most proud of outside your career?
KG: My greatest pride is that due to my professional assignment, our family spent almost a year and a half abroad at an Audi location. This was a huge challenge for our entire family, but especially for my daughter, who was only 5 years old at the time. I am proud of my husband for supporting me and redefining the division of tasks between us. Thus, I was able to develop professionally, and we also got to experience what it is like to live in another country.
What advice would you give to those who want to work at Audi Hungaria?
KG: Be open to development and new challenges! At Audi Hungaria, there are countless opportunities for learning, development, and professional growth. If someone is dedicated, diligent, and ambitious, there is a very good community and a stable professional future waiting for them here.
