11 years ago exactly on this day, Gábor Bene joined Audi Hungaria, where he has since been pursuing a career filled with continuous professional development and varied tasks. Over the past decade, he has worked with colleagues and partners in many fields, while proving himself in roles of increasing responsibility.
Which area do you work in?Since November 1, 2025, I have been a member of the Mobility Center team. This area belongs to Labor as well, but it has been part of HR for a short time, so in many respects it is still a developing relationship. The change brought a lot of new things for me, even though I had previously been a member of the HR Services team at Labor for 10 years. As far as my responsibilities are concerned, the Company Car Program (MFC Program) has been the most dominant area I have been working on at Audi Hungaria for almost 8 years now.
Under the MFC Program, the employees of the Company can choose and use an Audi car of their choice for a period of one year, with the option to renew it annually.
My role is to coordinate and develop this program from the “purchasing” of the vehicles to closure after use – including transport, servicing, regulatory affairs, so just about everything. Working with a wide range of national and international actors, authorities and partner companies presents daily challenges and complex tasks, which are complemented by the continuous and prioritized management of diverse customer needs. Even after all this time, completely new situations arise almost weekly, be it in the supply chain operations, pre-delivery preparation or the registration process. These unexpected situations usually require an immediate response, and typically require the involvement of several areas or partner companies – and sometimes the cooperation of public authorities – to resolve them.

Complexity, responsibility. Perhaps as a father of two, a balanced working environment has become particularly important to me recently. I can work in conditions that allow me to really concentrate on my work every day. This is not necessarily self-evident in today’s world, and I appreciate it.
At PTC I had a 3-day set-up, which already made me feel that I was entering a whole new world compared to my previous jobs. I was welcomed and accepted by my future immediate colleagues, which felt amazing.
I still work with most of them in the office every day, and over the years we have developed not only a good working relationship with many of them, but also a true friendship. I feel lucky to have been part of such a great team for so many years.
What was the most memorable moment during your time here?I could not pick just one thing – luckily there have been a lot of things that I remember fondly.
Participating in the organization of previous S-Tag events will always be a good memory – we had a great team and it was a real pleasure to work together. And it was a particularly memorable milestone when we passed 800 participants over a year in the MFC Program. And to give you a recent example, the launch of the first phase of the recently published PDW-MFC application is another defining moment from the last few years.
I think I would say the PDW-MFC app, perhaps also because it is very new. In recent months, I had to professionally coordinate the development of a new, less familiar service for executive company cars, which was an exciting challenge by itself. In addition, the cooperation with the team of Széchenyi University, which developed the application, was also a lot of work, as many things are still taking shape between us. The attitude and openness of the Mobility Center team helped me a lot to get up to speed quickly on new topics. It was particularly gratifying to see how much positive and appreciative feedback we have received in the short time since the launch. And the story is far from over: a second phase is underway for the PDW, and additional online interfaces to facilitate everyday work are under development for the MFC Program.
Not only for financial reasons – although I cannot deny that the offer I received 11 years ago had a positive impact on my decision. It was a big change for me at the time. Previously, I had spent almost a decade and a half in the hotel industry, and had worked my way up to senior management, managing several units at the same time. I traded the career I had built up for an opportunity to make an almost entirely new start – and in hindsight, I can say it was a very good decision. Besides the professional challenges, the financial security, and through that all the things I can offer to my family now is important to me and motivates me to do my best every day.

I cannot single out just one, but there are many good memories. The best of feelings is always when we can help someone, for example, when we could provide a suitable vehicle to a colleague who had become mobility impaired, and this way they were able to continue working, or when we made the dream of another colleague’s child come true, and give a red Audi to the family. I have always believed that the MFC Program is not just about cars, but about making the everyday lives of people and families better. We make thus a Monday morning easier or a trip more memorable. I am happy to work with colleagues who feel the same responsibility. Besides, there is always room for improvement, and although it may be a bit early to say this, but it fills me with a sense of pride that the processes and methods I have developed have inspired others, who have found them to be a suitable model for adapting and applying some of them to their own tasks.
And finally, that I have always managed to build a good working relationship with everyone, so we have been able to experience the results we have achieved as a shared success.
