Extremely Sporty: The New Audi TT RS From Győr Introduced

Beijing/Győr, 25 April 2016—The third generation of Audi TT is most of all characterized by emotional design and dynamic drivability. The new Audi TT RS, which was introduced with a newly developed engine at the Beijing car salon, represents dynamism and sporty character perfectly on the road. Both the newly developed five-cylinder engine and the Audi TT RS are manufactured in Győr at Audi Hungaria. The series production of this model will start this year at the Győr site of Audi.

The success story of the Audi TT started in 1998 at Audi Hungaria. Ever since, the Audi TT, which is popular on the roads worldwide, has become a Hungaricum by now: it is produced solely in Győr.

The assembly of the second generation of this sports car began in Győr in 2006.

In 2009, the TT family welcomed a new member: the first generation of the extremely sporty RS models.

The first Audi TT that was manufactured fully in Győr, came off the production lines in the new vehicle factory of Audi Hungaria in 2014.

Over 560,000 pieces of this design icon have been manufactured at Audi Hungaria so far, out of which there were 7,000 Audi TT RS models, which have been delivered to more than 40 countries worldwide.

Over 4,000 employees work at the Vehicle Production department of Audi Hungaria. Besides the TT Coupé and Roadster models, they make the Audi A3 Limousine and Cabriolet models, too.
