High state distinction:The Order of Merit of Hungary, medium cross, has been awarded to Peter Kössler, the member of AUDI AG management in charge of production

Budapest, 8 November 2018 – On Thursday, Peter Kössler, the member of AUDI AG management in charge of production and logistics and chairman of AUDI HUNGARIA Zrt. supervisory board, was awarded
the Order of Merit of Hungary, medium cross, by Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s minister of foreign affairs and trade.
With this distinction, Hungary recognised Peter Kössler’s dedicated work for Audi Hungaria, the largest production company in Hungary, as well as for his prominent role in the development of the Hungarian vehicle industry. On presenting the high state accolade, Péter Szijjártó highlighted Peter Kössler’s great contribution to the launching of electric motor manufacture in Győr, with which Audi Hungaria has prepared for the transformation process underway in the vehicle industry.
Peter Kössler was chairman of the board of AUDI HUNGARIA Zrt. from 2015 till 2017. During his time in office as head of the company, he facilitated Audi Hungaria’s investments: among other things the expansion of the tool works and technical development, as well as launching mass production of the Audi TT RS and Audi RS 3 Limousine models. Besides this, Kössler paved the way towards the “smart factory” for the company, in the spirit of electromobility and industry 4.0.
