New Chairman in Audi Hungaria's Board of Management: Alfons Dintner replaces Achim Heinfling

Győr, July 18, 2019 – Change in the leadership of Audi Hungaria: Alfons Dintner will take over the position of Chairman of Audi Hungaria's Board of Management from this autumn. The current Chairman of the Board, Achim Heinfling, will move to the headquarters of AUDI AG in Ingolstadt, where he will take over the management of Audi's largest plant.

Alfons Dintner has extensive experience at various manufacturing sites – until May 2019 he was Managing Director of Audi Mexico and previously plant director in Brussels. The 55-year-old professional is currently head of the Audi Pre-Series center in Ingolstadt. „Alfons Dintner is a renowned production specialist who, with his many years of international experience, will further strengthen the Győr manufacturing site as Audi Group's e-engine manufacturing center and lead the company to further success in the future”, said Peter Kössler.

Achim Heinfling has been accompanying and supporting the development of Audi Hungaria for many years. He worked in his first position not long after the founding of the company, later on he was the Director of Engine Production for several years, and since October 2017, he has been Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria. Under the leadership of Achim Heinfling, the company has reached important milestones: the production of electric motors has been launched, while the production line has been expanded with an SUV model, the Audi Q3. “Achim Heinfling's many years of experience in the motor and vehicle industry are coupled with a high degree of analytical skills and empathy. He has also gained extensive experience as plant director in his role as Chairman of Audi Hungaria's Board of Management. All of these are the best prerequisites for leading the Ingolstadt plant to a successful future in the current challenging period”, said Peter Kössler.
