Introducing The Latest Model Produced In Győr: The Elegance Of Power: The Audi Q3 Sportback

2019. 07. 24.

• A compact SUV coupe boasting an impressive design and outstanding driving dynamics
• Market rollout with engines manufactured in Győr
• The second Q model produced at Audi Hungaria

Ingolstadt/Győr, 24 July 2019 – Audi adds a compact SUV coupe to their range: introducing the Audi Q3 Sportback. The new model combines the dominating design and versatile everyday practicality of the SUV with the sporty elegance and agile temperament of the coupe. The result is the first ever Audi crossover soon rolling out of the Győr production site.

Every detail of the design of the Audi Q3 Sportback radiates power and precision. The octagonal, black Singleframe grille got a pronounced 3D design for an even sportier look. The trapezoid-shaped air inlets and the expressive fender with a flat insert further enhance the sportiness of the model.

The plastic design of the back section of the model offers a beautiful canvas for an intricate composition of light and shadow. Echoing the design of the low profile windows surrounded by spoiler profiles and the air inlets, the sporty fenders pronounce the impressive width of the Audi Q3 Sportback. As do the wedge shaped tail lights narrowing inwards, just like the flat headlights.

The Audi Q3 Sportback is 4.50 metres (14.76’) in length, 1.84 metres (6.04’) in width and 1.56 metres (5.12’) in height, and has a wheelbase of 2.68 metres (8.79’).

The Audi Q3 Sportback offers great driving experience on any surface and terrain. Be that a city ride, a long distance trip or lighter terrains, this compact crossover has the dynamic versatility to excel.

At the European rollout the Audi Q3 Sportback will be available in two variants: a petrol and a diesel engine version. Both engine types are manufactured by Audi Hungaria. The 169kW (230 HP), 2.0-litre TFSI engine is the more powerful engine. The 2.0-litre TDI engine offers 110kW (150 LE) of power. The engine range will be expanded later this year including a high power diesel engine and an entry level petrol engine with a 48V hybrid system. This system allows the engine to recover some energy when decelerating, and support the engine when accelerating at lower speeds. The hybrid system can allow for a reduction in the fuel consumption of up to an additional 0.4 litres per 100km in realistic driving environments.

The series production of the Audi Q3 Sportback will commence at Audi Hungaria in the near future. The Audi Q3 Sportback will hit the European showrooms this autumn.
