Győr, 17 December 2019 – Getting into the “It’s good to give” spirit, the end-of-year has again seen Audi Hungaria staff and employees donating and acting charitable. During the charity drive organised by the company – for the sixth consecutive year – approximately two tons of foodstuffs were donated in total, in a total value of close to HUF 3 million. Also collected were 400 gift packages containing clothes, toys and books.
Some of the donations were personally delivered by Audi Hungaria staff, accompanied by Dr. Erzsébet Knáb, member of AUDI HUNGARIA Zrt.’s Board of Management for Human Resources, to three supported institutions: the Family and Child Welfare Centre of Győr, the Service to Help the Homeless in Győr based in Likócs, and the Bagolyvár Children’s Home of the County Child Protection Centre.
“Through the power of joining forces and donating as one, we can ensure more joyful festivities to those in need, also bringing ourselves happiness in the process. I am proud of our employees who, in the spirit of selfless care for others, recognised the importance of good deeds, and participated in the donation campaign that has been ongoing for years now,” said Dr. Erzsébet Knáb.
In addition to the Christmas charity drive, close to 600 Audi volunteers were active this year at 30 regional institutions as part of the “It’s good to give” campaign. As part of ‘themed’ collection drives, Audi Hungaria employees delivered cleaning supplies, hygiene products and toiletries, underwear and cakes to the Service to Help the Homeless that has been operating for 22 years.
The company recently donated 100 computers to families in need in Győr and its region. Audi Hungaria is also sending close to 500 computers to its partner universities as well as schools in Győr and its vicinity.
