• Audi Hungaria supports six regional institutions
• Alfons Dintner, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria:

Győr, May 29, 2020 - We help them help: Audi Hungaria is supporting six health and social care facilities in successfully defending themselves against coronavirus. Today, Alfons Dintner, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria, handed over the donation of 100 million HUF on behalf of the facilities to Dr. András Csaba Dézsi, Mayor of Győr.
As the largest employer in the region, Audi Hungaria plays an important role in society and, as a responsible company, helps in crisis situations. "With our donation, we would like to contribute to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and at the same time express our gratitude to the employees of the health and social care facilities for their work during the coronavirus pandemic," said Alfons Dintner, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria. Six county institutions will benefit from the 100 million HUF donation: the Petz Aladár County Teaching Hospital in Győr, the Életmentők a Győriekért Foundation, the Győri Háziorvosok Ügyelete Nonprofit Kft. (General Practitioners of Győr Nonprofit Kft.), the Egyesített Egészségügyi és Szociális Intézmény Győr (Győr Unified Health and Social Institution), the Homeless Outreach Service and the Medical Department of Momosonmagyaróvár villages Nonprofit Kft.
At the time of the coronavirus outbreak, Audi Hungaria had already used this amount to purchase two respirator for the hospital in Győr and donated special protective clothing for the medical staff.
In his speech, Dr. András Csaba Dézsi expressed his thanks on behalf of the supported institutions and the citizens of the city: "Audi Hungaria is standing by the city and the people of Győr in such an extraordinary economic situation. I am grateful for their exemplary responsibility and support, both as mayor and as a doctor. ”
Audi Hungaria's support will enable the purchase of equipment that will help further improve the standard of care and facilitate the work of health and social care workers. In order to protect the health of employees, Audi Hungaria introduced a number of safety measures when production resumed. These include ensuring a distance of 1.5 meters between employees and protecting employees' health with Plexiglas walls and masks. The company has also doubled the number of its contract bus lines and disinfects its buses continuously.
Since the end of April, all engine production departments of Audi Hungaria and the vehicle manufacturing have resumed. In the coming weeks, the company will gradually ramp up production. Toolmaking, technical development and other administrative areas of the company are already working at full capacity again, by taking appropriate health precautions.
