Győr, 09 September 2016—The offer of dual higher education training programs was further enhanced in Győr: After Vehicle Engineering, the full-time BSc Electrical Engineering training program was also included in the mutual dual training portfolio of the Széchenyi University and the four-ring company of Győr in September 2016.
“Our company and the Széchenyi István University of Győr are strategic partners for over 10 years now. We are both highly committed to the development of engineer training in Hungary, because the supply of experts is a key element of our long-term HR strategy”, Dr. Elisabeth Knab, Member of the Board of Management for Human Resources of AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. said. “Dual higher education training is perfect for combining academic and hands-on training. Students can learn and master state-of-the-art technologies and the latest trends and challenges of the automotive industry at first hand. And this will contribute to their success at work a great deal”, Dr. Elisabeth Knab continued.
The 15 students who will start their first semester in September, in the dual training programs of the Széchenyi István University, were chosen from nearly 130 candidates. In the Vehicle Engineering program (launched in 2015) there are two classes now, while in the new Electrical Engineer dual training program, five students will commence their studies. Two of them have already graduated in the dual vocational training system of Audi Hungaria.
In dual training, education of the students takes place at two locations alternatingly: they can try how the academic knowledge they acquired at the University works in practice at Audi Hungaria, in actual projects, in industrial environment. The close and comprehensive cooperation between the university of Győr and the Training Center and the departments of Audi Hungaria is exemplary.
Students get the opportunity to acquire the most up-to-date professional skills and knowledge in an international environment. Furthermore, they receive regular feedback and experienced mentors help them at the company during their study period. Plus, they get paid for the work they do during their whole study period. And, after graduation, attractive career opportunities await the novice experts at Audi Hungaria.
