Audi is a new partner of the Hungarian Olympic Committee

The five rings cooperate with the four rings: As gold sponsors, AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. and the Hungarian distributor of the Audi brand provide the Hungarian Olympic Committee with Audi A4 Avant and A3 models.

”This cooperation opens up new perspectives in sports. We naturally undertake the role of sponsoring initiatives which are innovative and future-oriented, as are the cars and engines we produce,“ said Thomas Faustmann, Chief Executive Officer of Audi Hungaria. ” Besides our regional activities, our sponsorship of the Hungarian Olympic Committee supports a national sports organisation which represents and unites all Hungarian athletes.”

The exclusive Hungarian sales distributor of the four-ring brand and Audi Hungaria are acting together to create the conditions for MOB to prepare for the five-ring games: “We are present in numerous areas of sport. It is a great privilege for us to cooperate with MOB. We are proud to place new Audi models at the disposal of the number one national sports organisation, with which we can jointly represent the world-class performance delivered by both Hungarian athletes and the brand” said János Eppel, Chief Executive Officer of Porsche Hungaria.

AUDI AG is also active at an international level in this field of sport. Since January 2013 the company has been the supplier of the official vehicle fleet for the International Olympic Committee. Besides this, Audi also supplies cars for the Olympic committees of other European countries such as Germany, Finland, Russia and Switzerland.

Audi Hungaria has been playing an important role in sports in the Győr region for many years, as well as sponsoring Győr football club and women’s handball team. Audi has been the eponymous sponsor of the women’s handball club since 2006 and has sponsored Győr ETO football club since 2011.

The Audi brand also actively sponsors a number of fields of sport in Hungary, with yachting and golf in the focus of attention recently. Hallmarked with the name of György Wossala, the Audi Sailing Team was launched with the company’s support and has since raced and performed well in many regattas. Audi is also a main sponsor of Blue Ribbon regattas. Audi also runs its own annual golf competition, the winners of which compete in the world final of the international Audi Golf Cup.
