“Our company has been a committed supporter of the sports scene in Győr and in the region for decades. We are particularly proud to support recreational sport and sport for people with disabilities through our partnerships, in addition to professional sport. With our new partnerships, we are taking our sport sponsorship activities to a national level, supporting the increasingly popular sports of ice hockey, basketball and volleyball, which will help even more people to play active sports,” said Michael Breme, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria.
“It is a great pleasure and honor for us to have such a successful and innovative company as Audi Hungaria on our side. Hungarian ice hockey is enjoying the most successful season in its history, with both the men’s and women’s national teams immediately back in Group A and our junior teams now permanently in the division behind the elite. We are confident that the next season will end with even better results thanks to the support of our new sponsor,” said György Such, President of the Hungarian Ice Hockey Association.
“We are delighted to have a new partnership with one of Hungary’s largest companies, a brand that is also a global brand of excellence, whose commitment to support sport activities fits well with the innovation goals of the Hungarian Basketball Association. MKOSZ, as a committed organizer of the Hungarian basketball scene, is working to promote the various forms of one of the most popular ball games in the world, thus spreading the game of basketball in a variety of ways to as many generations as possible. One of the important flag bearers of this is streetball, an increasingly popular 3x3 sport, which is also an amateur sport at the Olympics,” said Péter Bodnár, Secretary General of the Hungarian Basketball Association (MKOSZ).
“Beach volleyball is one of the most popular outdoor games, played or watched by millions of people around the world. We are delighted that together with Audi Hungaria in Győr, we are taking the promotion of this sport one step higher in Hungary,” said Gabriella Vatai, Executive Director of the Hungarian Volleyball Association.
Since 2006, Audi Hungaria has been a partner of one of the world’s most successful women’s handball teams, AUDI ETO KC Győr, and for two years now, of the kayaking and canoeing department of the Győr Water Sports Association as well, as a sponsor of grassroots sports. The company supports sports for people with disabilities through its cooperation with Staféta Student Sports Association, EMBERsÉG DSE and Malta House of Care.
