“With the production and delivery of the new-generation V6 TDI engine, we provide our customers with a powertrain that combines efficiency and performance in a single unit. It is only through the expertise and commitment of our employees that we are able to manufacture such high-performance and complex powertrains,” emphasized Peter Will, Member of the Board of Management responsible for Powertrain Production.
Audi Hungaria has been producing V6 diesel engines since 1997, with a total of 3,930,000 units manufactured to date.
The new three-litre V6 diesel engine sets a new benchmark with 220 kW (299 hp) and 580 Nm of torque. For the first time, MHEV Plus technology is used, providing up to an additional 18 kW (24 hp) in combination with an electrically driven compressor. The combination of three electrified components ensures powerful starting performance and high efficiency. The engine is also approved for HVO100 fuel in accordance with European standard EN 15940. This sustainable fuel can reduce CO₂ emissions by 70 to 95 per cent compared with fossil diesel.
MHEV Plus technology offers partial electrification, increasing performance and driving pleasure while reducing consumption. The electrically driven compressor ensures smooth throttle response and confident acceleration. CO₂ emissions are further reduced thanks to the approval of HVO fuel.
