“Audi Hungaria has been in continuous development for 30 years. Our team has exceptional professionals and world-class competencies. In addition to our manufacturing activities, we are increasingly focusing on our Technical Development department, which carries out development projects for the entire Volkswagen Group with over more than 550 highly-skilled employees. In line with our strategy, we are also taking our technical development activities to the next level. This is what Next Level means to us,” said Alfons Dintner, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria.
“Our Technical Development is already AUD AG’s third largest development hub, and by further expanding our competencies, we will play an even more important role in Group-wide development projects and actively shape the mobility of the future. As developers, we take responsibility for all the powertrain systems of Audi and Volkswagen Group customers,” said Thorsten Pfeffer, Head of Powertrain Development at Audi Hungaria.
In the future, Powertrain Development colleagues in Győr will not only focus on powertrain modules, but also on powertrain systems, constantly improving the perceptible vehicle dynamics characteristics, including lateral, longitudinal and vertical dynamics. As a result, the Powertrain Development department in Győr will take on even more responsibility for vehicle projects in the Audi and Volkswagen Groups. Development engineers have built up many years of experience and strong competencies in the field of internal combustion engines, and in the spirit of automotive transformation, they have extended their development activities to electric vehicles.
Audi Hungaria’s Technical Development has more than 20 years of experience, and through the work of the experts at the Powertrain Development and Vehicle Development in Győr, it covers the entire spectrum of the vehicle development process. During development, employees can rely on a state-of-the-art testing facility with test benches for internal combustion engines, electric drives and their peripherals, as well as the latest component and vehicle test benches. In addition, Technical Development in Győr is also continuously working on the further development of its simulation methods and their applications.
