“For more than 20 years, we have been successfully running our dual vocational training programme together with our partner institutions, which has so far enabled around 2,500 students to acquire high-level theoretical and practical knowledge and to graduate as skilled workers. The aim of the training is to equip young people with competitive skills for the world of work – skills that they can later use as colleagues of Audi Hungaria. I heartily congratulate Ábel on receiving Volkswagen Group’s prestigious Best Apprentice Award and wish him continued professional success as a member of our company,” said Kinga Németh, Member of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria responsible for Human Resources and Organization.
Audi Hungaria, together with its five partner institutions in Győr, has been operating the dual vocational training model for more than 20 years with an extensive portfolio: currently, students can learn 13 professions in 6 different sectors. During the training, theoretical and practical skills are taught in parallel and complementarily in the educational institutions and in the partner companies. On completion of their studies, young graduates can enter the labor market and start their professional careers with competitive knowledge, an understanding of company culture and manufacturing processes, as well as relevant work experience.
In the next academic year 2024/25, a total of 220 students will start their training at Audi Hungaria. Students can learn the skills of their chosen profession in the company’s more than 10,000-square-meter training center and in the production areas of the engine and vehicle factories. The most popular occupations this year include automation and IT-related occupations, as well as engineering.
