This year, the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised the 17th edition of the “Szakma Sztár” Professional Festival under the motto “Profession in the Hand”, which included the finals of the national professional competitions. The aim of the competition is to raise the social prestige of vocational professions and make them more attractive to youngsters. This year, a total of 9,000 applicants tested their skills in 60 professions. Four students from Audi Hungaria’s dual vocational training programme received the Outstanding Student of the Profession award: Márk Horváth won first place, while Kristóf Péter Müller came second in the alternative vehicle drive technician category, Bence Botond Kiss won first place in the mechatronics technician category, and Csaba Horváth Márk came second in the automotive engineering category. The four awardees are students of SZC Lukács Sándor Automotive and Mechanical Engineering Vocational Secondary School and Student Hostel of Győr.
“Competitive recruitment is the guarantee of our company’s future. For 23 years, we have been developing the skills of young talents in the region through our dual vocational training in partnership with the schools of the Győr Vocational Training Center. Our trainees will learn up-to-date, practice-oriented skills in 12 professions important to the automotive industry, and later join the company as employees. This year, our excellent competitors have once again proven their skills: Márk Horváth, Kristóf Péter Müller, Bence Botond Kiss and Csaba Horváth Márk all achieved top 3 places in their respective categories. I congratulate the awardees for their good results and wish them continued success in their profession,” said Kinga Németh, Member of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria responsible for Human Resources and Organization.
Audi Hungaria’s professionals are focused on nurturing talent in all vocations, including preparation for professional competitions. The four-ringed company has been preparing students for the “Szakma Sztár” competition for more than 10 years, and for the third year it has been a sponsor of the event, providing equipment and experts for the competition, and rewarding the winners. Visitors were treated to an exciting programme at the competition venue, including VR glasses to experience engine assembly and welding.
Audi Hungaria has been successfully cooperating with the schools of Győr Vocational Training Centre in the framework of dual vocational training since 2001. To this date, more than 2,500 students have obtained their qualifications in automotive, electronics, metalworking or commercial professions, after which most of them have entered the world of work as colleagues of Audi Hungaria.
