Audi Hungaria launched series production of the new generation of PPE electric engines in November 2023. The four-ring company has invested EUR 190.2 million in a completely new 15,000-square-metre production area for PPE drives in an existing production hall. 700 employees work in Győr, with a daily production capacity of around 2,000 PPE electric drives.
“Our highly qualified employees work every day to deliver high-quality electric drives from Győr to our customers around the world. It’s a recognition of our work that our latest electric engine family, the PPE, is making its debut in Audi’s latest model,” said Robert Buttenhauser, Member of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria responsible for Engine Production.
Since its foundation, Audi Hungaria has invested more than EUR 12 billion in Győr, making the company one of the largest investors in the Hungarian industry. As one of the largest employers in the country, Audi Hungaria currently has a workforce of over 12,000 employees.
