New Equipment for the Emergency Department of Győr with the Help of Audi Hungaria

Győr, 10 June 2016—From now on, the Emergency Department of the Aladár Petz County Training Hospital in Győr is upgraded with new, state-of-the art devices and life-saving equipment. The modernization of the infrastructure of the department was supported by AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. with HUF 9 million. The equipment were “handed over” to Dr. László János Tamás, the Director of the Győr hospital and Dr. Márton Sztermen, Head of the Emergency Department by Péter Lőre, Manager of Communication and Government Relations at Audi Hungaria.

“As the largest employer in the region, it is self-evident for us to care for the health of the residents of the whole region just as we care for our employees”, Péter Lőre said. “We hope that the new equipment will make emergency care even faster and more efficient.”

With the support of the Győr four-ring company, the equipment of the Emergency Department was upgraded with new ECG and blood pressure monitoring devices, pulse oximeters and mobile ultrasonic and Doppler devices, just to mention a few. Furthermore, there will be two Lifepacks at the service of the emergency team at saving lives. With the help of Lifepacks, the medical staff can monitor the respiration and circulation of patients in a serious condition during transport to the hospital and right after arriving at the hospital. Lifepacks can also be used as external pacemakers. The Emergency Department has an average daily traffic of about 150 patients, with 24-hour attendance.

In the past years, AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. has provided support for the hospital of Győr several times. The company has donated several million forints for the modernization of the Sub-Intensive Care Units of the Departments of Surgery, Thoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery and the Department of Gastroenterology, and to the purchase of an ultrasonic monitoring device for the Cardiology Center. Apart from this, the automotive company has also sponsored the organization of the Surgical Congress, which was held in Győr in the past two years.
