The lives of Audi Hungaria and the 6-time Champions League winner and 17-time Hungarian champion Győri Audi ETO KC have been intertwined for almost 20 years. September 2024 marks a new milestone in the cooperation between the company and the sports team: during the break of last weekend’s match against the Norwegian Vipers Kristiansand, the parties signed a sponsorship agreement that will ensure that the largest company in the country and the region will continue to support one of the best handball teams in the world for the next three years.

Our company is a committed supporter of sports and, naturally, of outstanding results, so we readily extended our partnership for another three years. As one of the team’s newest supporters, I’m looking forward to this year’s season with many of our colleagues,” said Michael Breme, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria.

 

Audi Hungaria’s social presence is extremely wide-ranging. The company attaches great importance to the education and nurturing of future generations, the protection of the environment, the support of sports and cultural life, and helping people in difficult circumstances.

Anita Görbicz, the former world-class captain and current president of Győri Audi ETO KC, also commemorated the joint work: “The cooperation between Audi Hungária and ETO Kézilabda Club (Handball Club) has such a long history that the two brands have practically become intertwined in sport. This is a win-win relationship, so we are pleased to have signed a contract for a further 3 years. As a player it was already a great source of pride to have a global brand as our chief sponsor, but now as club manager I am honored even more. Our collaboration is coming of age as we enter our 18th season together this year.”

In addition to sponsoring the women’s handball team of Győri Audi ETO KC, Audi Hungaria is also the chief sponsor of the Audi Arena Győr multifunctional hall, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year and has been home to the women’s handball team. The hall also serves as the venue for a number of high-quality events that enrich the sporting and cultural life of the city of Győr.
